In The Daylight

Top: Brandy Melville | Jeans: PacSun | Bag: Michael Kors

This summer, my wardrobe will draw from the following palette: blush tones, floral print, silk and denim. And as you can see, I've once again got a head start on the last two with this look right here. To me, pairing silk with denim perfectly encapsulates a breezy, LA-chic aesthetic. The silk dresses things up while the denim dresses things down, and I feel that they combine to create the perfect daytime look. I'm a huge fan of Rumi Neely's style, and I find that she in particular knows how to get this look down to a T. Everything she puts together rocks this effortless vibe, and I constantly find myself pulling inspiration from her fabulous outfits. A velvet choker, black satchel and some matching black booties gave this look a '90s-meets-urban vibe and as always, my golden accessories threw in my signature glam touches.

The Sweetest Thing

Romper c/o Romwe | Heels: Public Desire (Similar) | Bag: Coach

Ok, can we just talk about how adorable this romper is? Summer is fast approaching (again, where has the time gone?) and off-the-shoulder rompers such as the one featured here are the perfect pieces to rock during this sun-soaked season. I'm also loving the gorgeous blush tone on it, as I've been super obsessed with blush lately and have been on a mad dash to collect anything donning this stunning hue. This color in particular pairs fabulously with nude touches, so my complementary pieces included lace-up heels from Public Desire and my everyday satchel from Coach. I personally believe that simplicity is always key, but if you're ever concerned that your look is just a bit too plain for your taste, throw in either a lace-up or off-the-shoulder detail. I find them both to be pretty promising fixes.

Overall, this look is sweet and simple and perfect for any summer day out. I dressed it up a bit, but it can easily be worn in a more casual fashion if you're going somewhere like the beach. LA has been a bit on the gloomy side lately in terms of weather, but I'm sure the sun will make its way back out eventually. It always does.

C'est Magnifique

Dress c/o SheIn | Clutch: ChloĆ© | Double-Bar Bracelet: The Limited (Similar) | Heels: Target

Sorry for the delay in posts! Things have been crazy busy for me lately and it has been a bit difficult being able to get shoots in. My college graduation is also coming up, which to me is even crazier. Where has the time gone?!

Now it has been a while since I've posted a look this formal, which is funny seeing as I used to dress like this all the time. As I've mentioned before, my style is constantly evolving and there was a time in particular where I would wear stiletto heels and fancy, formal dresses just about every single day. This was when I was into the ultra-luxurious look of old Hollywood actresses and would consistently ensure that everything I wore emanated glamor. This was, however, before I moved to Los Angeles and I think living here has since made my style a lot more laidback and boho-chic. That's primarily what you guys have been seeing on here, so I figured it was about time I pay homepage to the style that once consumed my wardrobe on the daily.

I'm absolutely obsessed with this stunning, hi-neck dress from SheIn! It's flowy and breezy but still possesses just the right amount of classiness for a fancy night out. I've been looking for a hi-neck, sleeveless piece like this for a while so I'm so happy to have gotten my hands on this gorgeous dress. I also got it hemmed just a few inches shorter so that it would fit my petite frame better. Sticking to this neutral palette, I paired it with my cute clutch from ChloƩ and my ever-so-trusty nude, ankle strap heels. Makeup-wise, I decided to change things up a bit and don a luxurious, glossy lip. This was probably the first time in months that I've worn lip gloss, as well as a color that wasn't a natural shade. I think it worked well for this specific look, but I probably won't continue wearing it for many others.

Hope everyone is having a lovely week!

Light as a Feather

Dress: Forever 21 | Heels: Target | Bag: Coach | Earrings: H&M

As I mentioned on Instagram, slips are my new sundress. These pieces take chic minimalism to a whole new level, and they'll undoubtedly continue to be my summer uniform just as they have been for spring. I love the simplicity and ease that come along with these pieces, as well as the versatility to truly style them to your liking. My everyday outfit lately has been a slip dress with a casual duster cardigan and some comfy, heeled sandals, whereas this outfit here is my glitzier rendition. A pair of nude, ankle strap heels and some golden accessories were all I needed to give this slip a daytime glam vibe, while a leather jacket thrown over would be perfect for those days when chillier weather strikes. The dress I'm wearing here was a great steal from Forever 21, but I'm hoping to get my hands on a pure silk slip soon!

On a slightly different note, I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that I have been featured on the site Sweet Blog of Mine as a fashion blogger favorite! The lovely lady who runs this site, Sami, wrote the kindest feature about this blog and it really was an honor being acknowledged like that. It was also crazy seeing the other bloggers I was ranked alongside with, as they're all remarkably fashionable and gifted women! Feel free to see the piece for yourself here, and make sure to check out the rest of Sami's site as well! This girl has got a killer sense of style and a number of fantastic reads. My personal favorite? An ode to my all-time favorite Sex and the City character, Samantha Jones.

Casual Chic

Top: Brandy Melville (Similar) | Skirt: American Apparel | Shoes: Jessica Simpson (Similar: 1, 2) | Earrings: H&M | Bag: Michael Kors (Similar: 1, 2, 3)

Here's another silk & denim look for you guys. I'm absolutely obsessed with this combination, as it seamlessly creates the perfect balance of chic meets casual. As mentioned in my previous silk & denim look, I've been all about Brandy Melville's Silky collection and this top is once again from that very line. Paired with my trusty button-front denim skirt from American Apparel and nude slip ons from Jessica Simpson, this look is great for any sunny afternoon out where you want to look a bit more dressed up, whether it be for shopping, lunch or whatever outings the day brings about.

As for jewelry, can we just talk about these statement earrings from H&M?! I haven't bought a pair of earrings, let alone ones as bold as these, in a while so it's nice to finally get a new pair into my wardrobe. I bought these while strolling through Old Pasadena and while I originally tried to convince myself I didn't need them, I found myself still obsessing about these hours later. Soooo, I went back and got them. :) They're the perfect level of glam: they make a bold statement while also not being too in-your-face. And while these earrings are probably more intended for evening looks, they can certainly be incorporated into an everyday ensemble as well. I love taking glamorous pieces and throwing them into casual looks as a way to glitz things up a bit, and that's precisely what I did for this outfit. You can get these stunners for yourself here
