Denim & Lace

Denim skirts and white blouses are one of my favorite combinations. Add some lace detailing on the sleeves and the ever so popular button front design on the skirt and you've got yourself a winner. I matched my favorite nude ankle boots with my equally lovely Coach purse, polishing it all off with a cool pair of sunglasses. Again, I went for the seventies look that yes, I am still pretty obsessed with. This outfit is a great mix of casual meets chic and is a great look to rock during the day. I wore this while taking a stroll along Abbot Kinney with my boyfriend, and we wrapped up this shoot with some crazy good iced coffees from Intelligentsia. Great coffee with a great guy is another combination I'm pretty fond of.

A Simple Summer

Believe it or not, the last few months of summer are dwindling down. Crazy how it has just flown by once again! With that said, if there are any summer pieces that you have yet to wear out then now is your time to do it. For me, I love rompers and consider them to be an absolutely fantastic piece for summer. They have the breeziness and lightness of a sundress, and the ease of a one piece. I wanted to keep things simple with this outfit, so I had my romper be my main statement piece and complemented it with some sleek nude heels and a chic shoulder bag. Gotta love those simple yet chic summer looks. :)

Vacation Vibes

Maxi dresses always remind me of a vacation. Their breezy and easygoing nature are perfect for a warm, sunny day out and I especially love it when they have details such as slits and cut-outs.
Now I wasn't exactly on vacation when taking these pictures, but walking around in the warm SoCal sun rocking this breezy piece sure made me feel as if I was. They also take the work out of assembling a full-on outfit, which is especially great for if you just want to take it easy and throw on something stylish yet simple.

Minted

With most clothing these days, what you see is what you get. Unless you know how to sew or know somebody who could do it for you, there is not a lot of customization involved when it comes to buying clothing. This can be especially irritating, for example, if a piece is too long, you don't like a specific detail of it, or if your body shape differs from default size measurement guides.

This shift dress that I got from eShakti.com was a refreshing solution to this dilemma. This company allows shoppers to customize the clothing sold on their website, ensuring that every piece you get fits like a glove and is exactly what you want it to be. They offer a wide variety of designs to choose from, ranging from jumpsuits to dresses to tops and so on. This lace shift dress and jumpsuit were among some of my favorites.

I was personally very impressed with the vast customization process that is provided after selecting a design. You can customize details such as the neckline, the sleeves and the length, or you can just leave it be if you're already happy with what you see! For this shift dress, I shortened the length and changed the neckline, but kept the original sleeves as I loved the flowy design of them and didn't feel they needed to be altered.  The size customization is also just as impressive, with shoppers being able to select their measurements from a standard yet detailed size guide or directly typing in their own specific measurements. My favorite aspect of this was that there is an area to type in your height as well. I am on the shorter side and very often struggle with clothing being too long or too baggy, even if it's technically in my size! I was very grateful that there was an area to specifically address this issue and ensure that my garment catered to a petite size.

The final product fit me perfectly, and was exactly what my customization had asked for. I even kindly received a slip to wear underneath the dress since the material of it is a bit sheer. It was refreshing finding a company that puts so much effort and care into ensuring that your garment is exactly what you want it to be. It is literally made just for you, and I think that that gives each piece a very special and personal touch.

Cropped & Casual

Here is a casual, laidback and bohemian look for you guys. I'm absolutely in love with this crop top from PacSun and the fact that its both floral print and has bell sleeves. And seeing as LA seems to once again be in a massive heat wave (surprised? Me neither), I can definitely appreciate the fact that it's cropped as well. A simple pair of jeans and a floppy black hat give the outfit a casual summer look, while my signature nude heels polish off the outfit. The ones featured here have a very similar feel to mules and are pretty easy to walk around in, so I would say they are definitely more of a laidback heel for me as well. Yeah, not even a casual outfit can prevent me from wearing heels. ;)
