California Winter

I've been all about crop tops lately. Since I'm a bit on the shorter side, the high cut of these tops helps balance out my outfits and get proportions on point. They're also a good motivator for me to routinely do ab workouts haha!

This specific one that I got from Pacsun has quickly become one of my new favorite tops. The print of it is gorgeous, and I also adore its lace, bell sleeve detail. I'm all about skinny black denim, and the pair featured here (also from Pacsun) is additionally one of my favorites. As I've mentioned before, I'm all for classic, staple pieces, and what's more timeless than a perfectly fitted pair of jeans? Yves Saint Laurent said it himself: "I have often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity - all I hope for in my clothes(Okay, so these are black jeans. But you get the idea!)

On a final note, I did not realize that literally one half of my wardrobe was from Target and the other was from Pacsun until I made this post. Typing out the "Outfit Details" below made me realize this, and I personally found it pretty funny. It goes to show, however, just how much I appreciate affordable fashion - something that I'm sure all of my fellow college fashionistas can attest to. Money doesn't always buy you style, and there really are few things better than fabulous clothes at an even more fabulous price

2015!

Happy New Year! I can't believe another year has already passed. 2014 seemed to have gone by in a flash, but it was a fantastic year nevertheless. It even ended on a great note - I got to spend the holidays with family and friends back home, finally got my hair cut (which I must say, I am very happy with), and also received some lovely little presents under the Christmas tree. I'm all about classic, forever pieces, and lucky for me, many of my presents this year consisted of these. A sleek, black leather jacket, rich tan ankle booties, and a matching bag? You can bet these are all going to be featured on here quite often.

It's the start of a brand new year, and I'm definitely ready to make some healthy, positive changes to my life. Eating clean and consistently exercising has always been something I've strived to implement into my life on a regular basis, and although I tell myself this every year lol, I believe this year will really be the one where I'm truly able to make it an actual lifestyle change. I've already started doing small workouts every single day since the new year, and only plan on building it up even more (thank you, Blogilates!). The way I see it, it's all about starting off small and working your way up. It may be simple, but it is realistic.

As for fashion, who knows what looks I'm going to be rocking this year? My aesthetic honestly changes so often, and not even I can predict what styles end up inspiring me. Looks like we're just going to have to wait and see - and you know you'll be able to do so here. Here's to a fabulous 2015, everyone. <3
